RetroRack was born in Chennai, out of a simple, stubborn love for the tech that made growing up unforgettable.
We started as a student project at the Institute of Venture Building - a place built for people who'd rather build something real than just talk about it. RetroRack became that build: a home for the consoles, cassette players, and pocket-sized game machines that a lot of us grew up idolizing, forgot about, and now can't stop thinking about again.
Here's the thing about nostalgia - it's not about being stuck in the past. It's about knowing what's actually cool. Handheld consoles with hundreds of games built in. Cassette recorders that look like nothing else on your desk. The stuff your parents had, reimagined for a generation that grew up on screens but still wants something to hold.
We're not a big warehouse operation. We're a small team in Chennai, picking pieces we'd actually want on our own shelf, and shipping them to you as fast as we can.
If you're the kind of person who thinks retro is cooler than new, welcome to RetroRack.
